Champagne with hibiscus flowers
On a recent weekend away to the Hunter Valley, I bought some Wild Hibiscus flowers in syrup from Peterson Champagne House to go with the Blush sparkling wine that I purchased (also from Peterson). It made for a lovely pre-dinner drink with friends. The hibiscus flower sits in the bottom of the glass and is a nice change to having plain sparkling wine. You can also eat the flower after you have finished your drink - it is flavoured with raspberry and rhubarb.
