Cupcake shop on George Street

Over the last week or two I've noticed a new cupcake shop open up on George Street, opposite the Wynyard station entrance.

Part of the collection offered at ivy, as their website says:
Unlike anything Sydney has ever seen, ivy offers a dazzling constellation of bars, dining facilities, shops, lounge areas and lifestyle indulgences. It’s a night out, a meeting place, function venue, an escape from reality. Step inside to where an endless array of experiences awaits you.
I'm just excited that I don't have to go down to Pitt street for a cupcake fix. Although in the name of food science, I should probably test them both out to compare.

Champagne with hibiscus flowers

On a recent weekend away to the Hunter Valley, I bought some Wild Hibiscus flowers in syrup from Peterson Champagne House to go with the Blush sparkling wine that I purchased (also from Peterson). It made for a lovely pre-dinner drink with friends. The hibiscus flower sits in the bottom of the glass and is a nice change to having plain sparkling wine. You can also eat the flower after you have finished your drink - it is flavoured with raspberry and rhubarb.
